Who is SIRVA?
SIRVA is a well-established worldwide provider of relocation solutions, conducting more than 300,000 relocations and moves every year for individual consumers and corporate and government employees. After 20 years redefining the relocation business, we currently count nearly half the FORTUNE Global 500® as clients. This is the first time our relocation service is available to individual consumers.
How does SIRVA help me save money?
Because we’ve been doing this for 20 years, we’ve seen it all, and we’re in a position to help you make smarter, more time-efficient and cost-effective decisions. You’ll benefit from our extensive network of preferred partners and vendors, many of whom have agreed to highly competitive, pre-negotiated rates due to the high volume of business we bring them.
How is this different from SIRVA’s corporate relocation service?
Until now, SIRVA did not provide the company’s relocation service to individuals outside corporate relocations. We thought everyone should have access to the resources and expertise we’ve built over 20 years, so we’re giving busy people like you access to those same resources.
Where is the service available?
At present time, in most metropolitan area within the United States. We can even help you with international moves.
How is an Associate different from a real estate agent?
Your Relocation Associate will work with you to find a real estate agent best suited to your situation, whether you’re buying a home, selling a home, or both.
How and when can I reach my Relocation Associate?
Business hours in our service center are M-F 7am–9pm, Sat 8am-5pm and Sun 11am-4pm (Central Time). Just call 1-866-SIRVA-01.
Why can’t my real estate agent do the same thing?
Real estate agents are only responsible for helping you with the real estate portions of your relocation. Your SIRVA Relocation Associate can help you every step of the way, including through your mortgage and moving process. And since Associates are salaried SIRVA employees, they’re an objective, third-party professional focused on your satisfaction, with no commission to consider.
How do Associates recommend real estate agents?
Associates use our local market experience and insight to identify real estate agents in your area. At minimum, you’ll be paired with two suitable real estate agents to choose from, more if requested.
What if I’m not happy with the real estate agent I select?
Our goal is your satisfaction. If at any time you’re unhappy with your agent, we want to know about it, and we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you’re getting the best service possible.
Can my Associate negotiate for me?
Legally, our Associates aren’t allowed to finalize negotiations on your behalf. They’ll explain how the process works, though, so you never enter a negotiation feeling unprepared. Another benefit to working with SIRVA is many of our partner providers have pre-negotiated rates. Because of the business volume we bring, you’ll often get competitive rates without the need to negotiate.
Can you help if I’ve already bought and/or sold my home?
One of the major benefits of our service is identifying real estate agents to suit your circumstances. If one side of your real estate transaction is complete, but you have yet to complete the other, we can still help you find the second agent. If you’re just looking for help obtaining a mortgage, finding movers, or other related services, we have a rich network of resources available and can help you find what you’re looking for.
What lenders does SIRVA work with?
SIRVA Mortgage, a SIRVA, Inc. owned corporation, offers more than 200 home loan products from the nation’s leading lenders. Because of the vast array of products available, call 1-866-SIRVA-01 if you have specific questions about available home loan products.
Are they a mortgage broker?
Your Associate will put you in touch with a Loan Counselor who’ll guide you through the mortgage process. Your Loan Counselor is the legally qualified expert who will match you with a mortgage. SIRVA Mortgage is not a mortgage broker. SIRVA Mortgage is a mortgage banker, which means they have total control over the entire loan process from financing the loan to closing the loan. How is the Associate different from a moving service?
Your Associate can help you find a real estate agent and obtain a mortgage, in addition to helping you find a qualified, reliable mover. From finding an agent to obtaining a mortgage, selling your home to moving in, your Associate is just a phone call away.
Is my Associate there the day of the move?
Since most details will have been worked out beforehand, your Associate won’t be there the day of your move. But they will be “on call” should issues arise.
Will SIRVA pack/unpack for me?
All of our van line partners provide reliable packing and unpacking services. When it comes time for the move, we’ll make sure your special needs are identified and handled with care.
